Many people actually think I've ever posed nude....NEGATIVE, I can give off the illusion though...that is the point of nude undergarments & also your hands...here are some of my photos people mistake for nude or semi nude

SORRY but I don't get naked behind anyone's lens....

Did you see me “naked” on part 2 of the Fierce & Crazed video? Did it look real? Did I fool you?! I hope so! But, as you can see in this video, I was really wearin’ nude colored undies (I was in these photos too! hehe!!) ! I know you've seen us do nude-like shots on America's Next Top Model but the girls are never fully exposed. I’ve said many times that I will never do a full frontal naked photo shoot, and I want all of you to know I really meant it. But that doesn’t mean I can’t have some fun pretending to make you laugh! On a more serious note, taking your clothes off for a photographer is NOT something you should do to make it in the modeling world. They do not need to see you naked, take photos of you naked or anything of the sort. ~Tyra Banks

So yes under no circumstance should you feel you have to be fully nude in order to give off the illusion. I hate when people do it for free & boast. Art project or not, you should be getting monetary compensation. Always remember that the photographer has rights to your photos unless you've paid for those rights & they could use them however they please. Please have respect for yourselves & your body & not allow anyone to exploit you in any form or fashion. You will be the one looking foolish in the end....

When Does It Become Exploitation?

I ask this because recently I've come across someone's "photoshoot" images & Im like o_O? ummm who was this photographer & what were his real intentions because ummm these photos are ummmm blah & a you seen one, you seen them all type thing. Plus I dont like to say it, but the chick wasnt what anyone legit would call a model.

Ladies please be careful who you do "photoshoots" with & I put the word photoshoot in quotations because the word is used so loosely. Everyone is doing a "photoshoot" nowadays.

Let me clue you in on a term called GWC (Guy With a Camera). Usually this is a guy who might appear legit & whatnot but he just owns & knows how to operate a digital professional camera. His photos won't help you, it'll possibly exploit you &/or be used for his "personal" benefit. So yea, be careful, which is why it's always important to check references and or bring an escort especially if this is your first time shooting with a person. If a photographer gets upset when you let them know you'd only shoot with an escort (that of course would not interfere with the creative direction or goal of the shoot), then do not shoot with that photographer. YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BE & FEEL SAFE. You cant put anything past anyone these days without doing a reference or background check on someone. There are so many shady people within the industry. Just be careful.

I apologize for not updating in a while. I'm just lazy when it comes to my many pages on the web. Funny, how I'm too lazy to write a blog, yet I can tweet all day. This site should be any model who isn't sure about a business friend. A business is also a modeling agency. Please file complaints on people you've worked with that didn't do what they claim they were there to do so other people can be in the know. Sometimes, things happen to us & we have to go through the rollercoaster ride but our experiences can very well warn others & help others so it doesn't keep happening. Always share pertinent information that could help someone.

Anyway on this site, you should be able to find some, not all businesses on this site. They'd have a grade of A, B, C, D, or F & have information about how long they've been around, whether or not they are BBB accredited, any complaints, & also just as important, the TYPE of company they are (i.e. the service they provide).

Which brings me to this example...IMPERATIVE TALENT AGENCY based in ATLANTA...I'm sure you've seen their stuff on facebook, Twitter, etc. They even have a website (anyone can have a website, doesn't mean they're legit). I even went in 07' to a meeting at their location. It was at like 9pm (red flag...I shouldnt have been anywhere at 9pm with a guy-agent, whatever), but anyways, he saw me, photos, etc. They wanted to "SIGN" me...RED FLAG for a $30 processing fee. & then get this RED FLAG, they wanted me to pick a package from D Blanks or Drexina and pay for photos with them...um I was gonna go with Drexina for a starter of $400..I was like um when I thought to myself...NEGATIVE...for one those are creditable photographers, but Im not paying that for any photos when Im gonna end up with 2-4 images & on top of that THEY ARENT THE ONLY PHOTOGS IN ATLANTA THAT ARE GREAT...you have TY Xavier Weldon, D Hathaway, Alloy One Photography, Digitoxin, Allen Cooley, Bones, Robert Ector, ETC., & check this out, the following year, 2008 in February, the guy was at the casting for THE VOGUE FASHION SHOW that was hosted by Dwight Eubanks...he was too short so he didn't get casted. I DID!! oh by the way, Imperative Talent Agency is not BBB accredited & the type of business they are is PHOTOGRAPHY SALES, not a MODELING AGENCY & yes, they have a B-. RESEARCH!

PLEASE RESEARCH & THINK...for 150-250 you can shoot with many of the fashion photogs I named, who specialize in fashion, not urban, or any of that crap, but their photos are true High Fashion, Agency standard, like Click, Elite...you can test with them for as little as that. and even when you're trying to get agency standard, you might want to shoot with them Calvin Clein style...white underwear & white tank top, no makeup, or very neutral & do natural poses that show effortless posing to send to a REAL AGENCY. all the glamorous photos can come later at the agency's or photographer's expense, not yours.

please make http://BBB.org your friend. Any legit agency will not charge you upfront or require you to have photos taken by 2 people for a ridiculous amount of money. Instead you'd either get an exclusive or non-exclusive contract and they will develop you in any area they see fit to market you for free & help you find work. They can't guarantee work, but that's why they develop you, & you go out to try to book the job & they make their 20% and you get the rest. Please EDUCATE yourself. Model Categories & Typical Industry Standard Requirements

General Fashion Models

General Fashion models have universally appealing good looks but are not high fashion enough to qualify for high fashion editorials. You may see these models in middle-of-the-road magazines like Redbook and Good Housekeeping. General fashion models are often seen in catalogs and general clothing advertisements for companies like Mervyns, Sears and Target. Most general fashion models appear to be between 18 and 25. Also included are Contemporary Women (who appear between 28 and 44) and Classic Women (who appear over 45).

The majority of men in this category range from 18 to 28 years old and may be seen in underwear and bathing suit ads. Those men who appear between 25 and 35 model sportswear and formal wear. Men who appear between 32 and 45 often model business clothes.

Commercial Print Models

Commercial Print models represent products other than beauty or fashion. They are used in print ads, packaging, sales displays, product catalogs and live promotional work. There are two types of commercial print models: Straight and Character.

Straight Commercial models can range from average (real people) to attractive types. They are chosen because they appeal to specific consumer markets based on age, marital status, income, etc.

Character Commercial models most often appear in print ads and television commercials. These models can be funny-looking or offbeat characters. They are often exaggerated examples of real people. Character models may also be impersonators or imaginary characters such as Uncle Sam or a leprachaun.

Real People models: There are no height, weight or visual requirements for casting and print. This is because the assignment may call for "real people" i.e. non-model types.

Petite Models

Petite Models wear sizes 3-7 Petite and are usually 18 to 25 years old. Petite models appear in catalogs, print ads, tv commercials. Occasionally, they may receive high fashion print assignments.

Petite models are coming more into vogue now but it is still a struggle to get them into runway shows. Our recommendation for petites: start looking for other petite models and then as a group, approach petite clothing companies and create showcases. Naturally, you'll need to hook up with a choreographer but these can be found at other runway shows or by asking manufacturers or local clothing outlets like Macy’s who they use.

Parts Models

If a model has particularly appealing body parts, e.g. hands, feet, back etc. they must

take snapshots or Polaroids of these parts, date the photographs and place name on photographs. These shots are needed for buyers who seek Parts models. If the parts are superior in appearance, the model will need to locate professional photographers to photograph the body parts.

Hand models have attractively shaped, smallish hands with no blemishes or skin problems. Nails have a healthy color, are without curves, ridges, blemishes. Cuticles must be perfect. Nails must be natural, not sculpted. Most hand models wear a size 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 glove and 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 ring. Male hand models wear an 8 _ to 10 glove.

Leg models must have beautifully shaped, straight, slim, long legs with attractive feet and without veins, scars or other blemishes.

Female foot models must have graceful, flawless feet with attractive ankles and lower legs. They must wear size 6 narrow or medium without blemishes, protruding veins.

Teeth/smile models must have perfectly straight, white teeth with a beautiful smile and attractive lips. Gums must be healthy, pink and not extremely large.

Beauty models are used for face and hair products. They must have a well-proportioned, attractive face with symmetrical features, good bone structure. Skin must be flawless with fine, nearly invisible pores. No blemishes, no circles or darkness under the eyes. Eyes must be wide-set, expressive and beautiful. Lips are neither too thin nor too full. Neck should be long and slim. Hair should be healthy, thick, shiny, easy to manage. Hair should be virgin (not permed or colored). For men a strong jaw line and an even hairline are preferred.

Plus Size Models

Plus or large size models wear Misses sizes 12 and up. Plus models have well proportioned, full figures. Plus sizes wear between size 12 and size 18. Measurements are between 34-25-37 and 40-31-42. If your size exceeds these measurements you are not qualified for Plus size modeling.If your waist is not at least 9 inches smaller than your hips and chest, you are not qualified for Plus size modeling.

Swimsuit Models

Swimsuit models need an attractive slender figure with a 34B bust or larger. Models with naturally darker skin or a light tan are preferred. The models figure should have smooth, attractive countours. Swimsuit models should not have bony or angular shoulders, visible rib cage or hipbones. Their figure should be well-toned and without cellulite or excessive muscles. Swimsuit models usually have figures that are slightly rounder or more athletic looking than typical fashion models.

Lingerie Models

Lingerie models need an attractive figure with a full 34B bust or larger. Skin must be flawless, without much body hair, freckles, moles or scars. Models should not be overly tan. The model’s bones in the rib and chest should not protrude. The model must not be very muscular.

Body Models

Figure models must have an excellent figure with a well-developed bust line. Looks range from wholesome to sexy to mildly exotic.

A lot of you thirsty wannabes are killing opportunities in Atlanta for industry professionals who have years of hard work and experience under their belt or who are just great at what they do. A lot of casting directors, designers, photographers (hmmm not necessarily photogs). I exclude most photographers because a lot of them aren't making major money for your shots unless you are on a campaign, doing something for a designer, MUA, or stylist, etc. so you can't really expect much from them unless you're doing artistic nudes (Never do those for free & make sure they only have edited and finished work, not all of the negatives, because that's not cool, to have your body all over the place, u might as well be in the adult industry). But yea, regardless, a lot of professionals in Atlanta in particular want you to be an experienced professional for FREE. Unless people say No, it will keep happening. There isn't enough exposure in the world for everything to be done for free. People who are on reality shows are even getting money & that's maximum exposure. For these little local events that end up horrible because of the selected individuals to participate, poor planning, etc. it ends up being a WASTE of TIME. However, no one cares, because for every person that won't do it, there are loads of wannabes that will. All I'm saying is that we need to unite in order for it to end. Anyone that acts or models wants to make revenue, even if it isn't thousands, you want some type of monetary compensation.

How to apply makeup for your
model photo shoot

You most likely already know how to apply makeup for everyday use but there are a few things that are different in applying makeup for a model photo shoot.

It's not that difficult to learn and if you follow the tips below, you will be on your way to better makeup results for your model session.

Apply a heavier coat

The first key to model makeup is to simply fix your face as if you were going out for the evening, wearing more than for daytime use.

Create extra contrast and especially use more powder. I cannot stress powder enough. This is essential!

To achieve that natural look in your model portfolio, apply a little more than you would in your daily activities and even more than you would if you were going out for the evening.

When you look in the mirror you will feel that you are wearing too much makeup but remember that the studio lights will reduce the amount of makeup you have on so don't worry.

How do you achieve the model look? Follow the simple steps listed here and, with a little practice, you should be able to get the results you're after and have a successful makeup session.

Moisturizer & Concealer

First, moisturize your face thoroughly and then follow with concealer. The concealer you use for photos should be 2 or 3 shades lighter than your skin tone.

You will use concealer in order to hide blemishes, to lighten your eyes and you'll need concealer to hide any discoloration around the eyes or lips.

The Foundation

Now, you'll want to use a good, solid foundation and apply it evenly over the face.

Foundation application is very simple but is misunderstood by even some professional makeup artists.

Match the foundation to your chin and neckline. If you miss this step, you and the camera will see a sudden change of color from your face to the neck or upper chest.

Some makeup artists even apply makeup to the neck and shoulders! Why you ask? To match the body to the face. You will have no need to apply makeup to your body (except to hide blemishes) if you follow the suggestion of matching your makeup from the face to the neck.

When you have completed applying your foundation, just apply the rest of your facial makeup as you would normally but apply in heavier amounts for the camera and lights.

Powder

Powder! Powder! Powder! Be sure to remember the powder!

I'm sure you've seen makeup artists apply makeup to actors to get them ready for a TV show or the movies. If you have you must have noticed that the makeup artist is constantly patting the actors face with a powder applicator. Have you wondered why?

The reason is that powder, and lots of it, is nescessary to create that beautiful matte finish which is always present in a great portfolio. "But I never use powder." you may say. Even so, please use it for your model photo shoot. Powder makes the difference between a beautiful photo and just a photo.

When applying powder, use a lighter shade under the eyes to help eliminate any shadows or dark circles that the concealer didn't take care of.

Applying Facial Makeup - The Oval Look

Now that you understand the importance of using powder, apply makeup below your cheekbones and under your chin to create an oval look to the face. Be sure to blend the makeup in and not create distinct lines. Put this makeup on a little darker but not too heavy.

Lip Color

In order for your lips to stand out and be noticed, be sure that your lip gloss is a solid color and at least one shade deeper than you normally wear it.

Your lip liner should be the same color as your lipstick.

DO NOT WEAR BLACK LIP LINER!

Stay away from any frosted lip colors entirely because they hardly show up on film and will give the illusion that you are not wearing lip color at all. The only time you would wear frosted is when it's for some effect the photographer wants to accomplish.

Blush

Apply your blush a little heavier than normal but neatly and precisely. Don't over or under apply blush. This will also be in accordance to the effect you or your photographer want to accomplish with your look for this particular model shoot.

Eye Makeup

In order to produce the best results, your eye liner needs to be applied starting from the outside of the lower part of the eye and extending about 3/4 length toward the inner part.

Really work on those eyes and lips. These are the two key features in a model photo shoot as with just about any other people photography so get this right!

You'll need to use an eye shadow to compliment the rest of your makeup and clothing but use a light shade so that your eyes will appear more alive.

Start by applying your eye shadow to the upper eye lid and above the eye just below the eyebrow.

The reason you'll want this a light shade is because a darker shade will create an illusion of darkening of the eyes and will give the appearance that you did not get enough sleep the night before which is not going to be very flattering to you. Stay with a light eye shadow to be sure and create the best results for your eyes. If done right, the person looking at your photos will be drawn in directly to your eyes first which is what you normally want to achieve.

Take it With You!

Lastly, be sure and take your makeup case with you to your model photo shoot. You will need to touch up your makeup during the photo shoot and will always need to add powder as the day moves on. The photographer or makeup artist will not likely have your brand and you certainly don't want to halt the shoot while you go home for more makeup.

Do your best to follow these steps when applying makeup for your model photo shoot and you should get good results from your photo session.

Breathe
Although sometimes concentration enhances a good photograph, obvious concentration can distract and often ruin a good photograph as well. Do not hold your breath for a modeling pose; always remember to breathe and appear at ease.

Posture
Bad posture is an unrecognized flaw in many people. However, for models, posture is a harmful flaw. Always remember to keep your back straight and your shoulders up. Slouching affects the mood of the photograph and enlarges the appearances of your stomach. In addition to your back and shoulders, always remember to flex your stomach muscles. Despite your weight or state of shape, your abdomen will appear more toned if you flex.

Limbs
Symmetry is officially out in the modeling world. When posing, make sure to differentiate your arms and legs with asymmetrical poses. If you have one arm long and straight by your side, make sure the other arm is bent. Whether a big or small angle, the bend will make the modeling pose look more real, less artificial. Continue the asymmetry to your legs. If one leg is locked straight, give the other leg a casual bend.

Camera
Although the camera is the ultimate focal point of a modeling photo shoot, great models do not look directly into the camera. To enhance the quality of your photo shoot, look away from the camera with a mix of head and eye poses. Looking off to the right or left side, or tiling your neck to either side can help you avoid direct eye contact with the camera. In many cases, your head and neck can remain stationary in your modeling pose—and your eyes can do all the work. Head and eye positions, coupled with personable facial expressions make for great model poses.

Sitting Poses
If you are sitting down during your photo shoot—don’t think it’s ok to slack off. In fact, sitting photo shoots require a lot of extra work. If you are sitting down or reclining, it’s important to put your eight on the back of one thigh, rather than distributing your weight equally on both thighs. If you roll one hip up from the ground or surface, shifting your weight will be simple. This pose results in a slimming effect that you don’t want to miss out on.

Cleavage
To make sure your best assets shine, there are a few basic guidelines to follow. Based on two distinct poses, a forward lean and a backward lean, any model with any breast size can maximize cleavage. When leaning forward, either bring your arms together at your waist, keep your arms straight at the elbows and clasp your hands together below your waist, or simply cross your arms. When leaning backward, raise your arms about your shoulders and head, keep your arms apart, and always slouch for the best cleavage results.

Smile
If you have a naturally beautiful smile—show your pearly whites with pride, just not every time. If you smile in each modeling pose, modeling agents will notice your lack of versatility, not your smile. To add variety to your modeling poses, try switching up your smile with a cute frown, a bratty bout, a friendly laugh, or even an edgy scowl. Your facial expressions can make or break your modeling poses. Let your smile show, but make sure to show what else you can do.

In addition to these personalized tips for modeling poses, every model should be aware of the basics of posing. There are 4 main types of model poses: lifestyle pose, movement pose, portrait pose, and body pose.

Lifestyle
The lifestyle pose evokes a sense of everyday living with common body movements and facial expressions. Throughout the day, moments of happiness, love, anger, and hope arise. To succeed at the lifestyle pose, each model must be able to recreate these everyday emotions.

Movement
The movement pose captures a specific action, such as running or jumping. Because this pose is most often used for a marketing photo shoot—the model is used to promote a product. Each model must be able to smile and laugh when using the products in the photo shoot.

Portrait
This modeling pose emphasizes the face of the model—and relies purely on facial features. The model will be in modest makeup and relaxed hair and should pose with a casual, genuine smile. Many portrait photographs are close up and emphasize details of the model’s face. If you are scheduled for a portrait photo shoot, make sure to pay extra attention to your skin and drink at least 8-12 glasses of water a day.

Body
Full-length photographs require body poses. Models are encouraged to shift weight between hips and make arms and lengths into asymmetrical stances. Although many body poses do not require specific facial expressions, putting your entire body into character during full-length poses helps your body find a natural balance.

Forever 21 Twist: Cirque 21

Forever 21 will be launching their new line TWIST on July 29th. I've browsed their look book and I see a few pieces I wouldn't mind having. Some of their looks in the book look pretty tacky together rather than cohesive. But there are some pieces of the outfit that are workable separately. That's cool because everyone doesn't always follow looks from the store. Sometimes only a Mannequin can pull off any of those looks. I love Forever 21. If I'm not buying anything online, I'm in the store. Sometimes it's a must to find certain items in the store because a lot of their pieces look good online, but they're made of poor quality and it's like once you buy it, you wear it once or twice and that's it for the outfit. I hate it when I discover a really cute outfit that I want but refuse to buy because of how it's made. I bet there are some pieces like that in this new line. So I will definitely head to Cumberland or Perimeter to see it in person. A lot of Forever 21's clothing resemble high fashion pieces for darn near a steal & that's cool, so I guess that's why they don't always worry about the quality of their material. Anyway I'm ready for the 29th.

I am so in love with this store now. I never gave it a try & I'd walk by it everyday to go to work after eating in the food court at Lenox somewhere. I thought the clothing was super expensive and too homely but I was so wrong. It's reasonable and they have a lot of fashion forward clothing, shoes, and accessories. I LOVE this store just as much as Forever 21 now. They have alot of cute dresses, shorts, and skirts. They have a lot of must-haves. Every year I change my style and my look. I'll be fully legal this year and by 2010, fully independent bringing in a salary since I'd have a career and no J.O.B. (Just Over Broke). Between Phipps & Lenox Mall, I'll definitely be shopping at Urban Outfitters to go along with my new look and new age. I almost went crazy buying clothing online last week. I could definitely use their looks in editorial type photo shoots :-).

I absolutely love this album. It was released on Tuesday July 21st! I honestly like this album better than her debut album. Of course that first album was hyped because of her duet with Chris Brown on "No Air", a good song, but I love this album more. I think she should collab with Ne-Yo on a song or two and she'd be set. He is such an awesome songwriter and artist. He makes hits in or behind the scenes regardless. Her single on this album is "Battlefield". I swear I can relate to every song on this album, maybe because of my own relationship with this stubborn "Tin Man". Support this artist. Ok, even though I hate it, I can't really stop it. I'm speaking of every female wanting to be a model. Some people should really just be real with themselves and just continue to go to Hollywood Shots or something for photos. I hate when people see a new set of my pics from a shoot & start messaging me, how much did you pay? Are you effin serious? Negative, I don't come out of my pockets for nothing but maybe a pair of shoes that fit me. Clothes if wardrobe isn't provided are in my closet.

Ok, I'm going off topic a bit. Ok, so yea, if you really want to get started, take 4 polaroids of your self. Polaroids aren't typical polaroids, but digital camera shots of you facing forward, hair pulled back w/ smile, no smile, side profile shot, and a full body in form fitting or bathing suit (full for full-figures or bikini for non plus sized). Join Modelmayhem. It's free, it's a networking site for models, MUA's, Photoshop Wizards, Clothing Designers, Wardrobe Stylists, Photographers, etc. Once your profile is approved, you should start networking. NETWORK! NETWORK! NETWORK! If you are always at a party; stop going to clubs sweating out your hair and start going to Industry network mixers, it will help you a great deal.

Modeling is a business and either you're in control or you're represented by a business and you are a PRODUCT. Never forget that. You must be prepared, and present yourself well at all times because you never know who's watching. No one will invest in you if you aren't going to do well or have the potential, remember that as well, before you waste your time.

It's not always about what you know, it's who you know.

Please educate yourself. Do not go into this industry naiive because you will be eaten by SHARKS/SNAKES. Do your homework, which should be everyday. Ok, so yea, it's not really my first blogger, but this is the first time I plan to actually keep up with one. I have a website & will have a site for my modeling as soon as I buy the domain & get it designed for me since I don't want to do it myself. This blog won't really have a lot of rambling going on or whatever because I'm trying to actually have a focus with this one, which would really be Entertainment, Music (my number one love), Modeling (my other love), and maybe just a little about me (non rambles). Well hopefully I can bring some life to this blog and actually keep up with it like I used to in the past. Q: How Did You Get Started Modeling?
A: I was found on Myspace and someone set up my first professional shoot. I did the shoot, it lasted 4hrs & I received amazing images. I created an account on model mayhem & I quickly began booking more opportunities & have worked with other industry professionals.

Q: Is There any advice I can give a model?
A: The main advice I can give you is to be careful, don't think everyone in the "industry" is legitimate, don't spend tons of money on photos because they mean nothing in the end (I've never paid for a shoot yet), get paid, don't do everything for free, but you must have something to show for yourself, quality over quantity. You shouldn't pay anyone to represent yourself and don't fall for the invest in yourself bull because if you're gonna invest in yourself then you might as well manage yourself and cut out the middle man. Just learn as much as you can and make smart choices.

Q: Are You Signed With An Agency?
A: Yes, something like that, I'm signed non-exclusively with FTC Publications Inc. I also find work for myself. If I do anything for free, it's with extremely reputable people and looks good for my portfolio and resume. Alot of cases cause for you to work your way up before you land anything big. I'm still strengthening my port, but I network well, so I have a lot of opportunities coming my way. It helps more if you can travel and do things full time. I'm waiting until graduation in May and then I'll be open for more opportunities.

Q: What are the major modeling agencies in Atlanta?
A: Elite Models, Ford Models, & Click Models

Q: What Does A Portfolio & Resume Consist Of?
A: Your portfolio consists of photos that WOW. Also, usually work u were paid for or just super great work you've done with a photographer. You never put the same looks in your port. They must be different and preferably by different photographers. Tear sheets are great as well, which is an ad or editorial you've done in a magazine or publication. Your resume consists of video work (i.e. Music videos), just the name of the video, artist, and year, commercial work (catalogs, magazines, etc.), fashion shows, events you've hosted, promo work, etc. Just any project or event you were apart of and the year. You can Google sample model resumes or what to include in a resume.

Q: I'm 5'6 & weigh 130, Can I model?
A: Yes, there are many areas of modeling. You just have to get in where you fit & some markets and castings don't require a certain height and/or weight.

Q: Who Taught You How To Walk?
A: I definitely wasn't taught, but yes, someone can teach you, you'd pay a runway coach (I definitely wouldn't do that, because my walk is good & there's no way Id risk paying someone who hasn't modeled a day in their life to teach me). If I need coaching, I'm sure when I get with an agency like Elite, they will have someone work with me on it, but I have a good walk. Every time I walk it's as if I'm on a runway. You can just practice walking yourself, youtube some High Fashion Shows & see if your walk compares, that's how you know and/or learn. If you attend a casting, walk in front of everyone & no one says your walk is good, then it's bad. Every time I go to a casting people compliment my walk or ask how long Ive been modeling, when I tell them a year, they're kind of shocked. Just have poise & confidence & don't do any silly turns or extra you see from these jokes called modeling troupes.

Q: What Can You Tell Me About Buying a Portfolio?
A: Your physical portfolio should be 8 1/2 X 11 or 9 X 12 & The photos should meet that size to fit. You'd also want to print 4 X 6's for people to keep on castings if you don't have any comp cards printed out. I bought my portfolio from portfoliomart.com, they have really affordable prices & ship fast.

Q: What about Comp Cards & Business Cards?
A: Your comp card should act as a very small portfolio. You could have one main head shot with your name and 2 or 3 full body and another head shot on the back and under that, your stats, and contact. Yes it should be on card stock paper or it can be on whatever party flyers are printed on. You need to change them after a while, so it's best to only print 25-50 of each type. You also can have a business card (vistaprint.com) does basic ones free, but u can customize them as well for an extra fee. Whenever you go to a casting, shoot with a photographer, or go to a networking event, bring comp cards and business cards. Give them to designers, stylists, photographers, casting directors, and models, and just network and show that you are serious and prepared. You'd be surprised at how many people don't do this. I take my business cards, portfolio, and comp card everywhere because people stop me when they see me walking sometimes for things. I was stopped at work by an agent in Florida for something, he waited until I was done just to get my number and called.
